HDR, also known as High Dynamic Range, is a set of techniques that when applied carefully, magically transforms your photographs into really stunning ones. It enables photographers to record a greater range of tonal details than any camera can do in a photo .To be able to make such HDR photos you need to merge multiple photographs with different exposures using either Photoshop or another special software. This is a HDR Photography showcase of 50 stunning and well executed HDR photos which will really blow your mind.

This is really nice. I wonder how you even begin to do it.

ReplyDeleteSorry................but I'm with 'Glass Eye'..........how to overdo HDR would possibly be a better title

Excuse me, but are we looking at the same pictures? Some of these are ridiculously overdone, with blatant errors like obvious haloing around people and objects, "dirty" skies, and the classic "This is HDR, let's crank the saturation to 11 ... no, 12!"
I completely agree that when done carefully and with skill, HDR pictures can be absolutely stunning, and can create a multitude of effects and appearances. Some of the ones shown here are like that. Others, like the first one of Golden Gate Bridge(?) are just plain bad.
I completely disagree. I really like these especially the first bridge one. While it might be technically "overdone" HDR - I really like the look. I've made some HDR in the past and gotten the same response - it's overdone. But it was the look I was going for and I really like it. Remember, sometimes beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
